Lima Historic Center Private Tour from Callao Cruise Port

Make the most of your day in port with a private tour of Lima’s Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the heart of the old City of Kings. Your guide meets you at the Callao Cruise Port and takes you by private transfer straight to the colonial core of Peru’s capital, where grand plazas, carved wooden balconies and centuries-old churches tell the story of Lima from its founding in 1535 to the present day. After the visits, you’ll have free time for lunch and shopping before a private transfer takes you to the JW Marriott Hotel in Miraflores.

Itinerary

  • 9:00 AM – Pickup at Callao Cruise Port. Meet your guide and enjoy a private transfer to downtown Lima.
  • Lima Historic Center (30 minutes). Begin with an introduction to the old city, its history and its colonial architecture.
  • Plaza San Martín (30 minutes). Admire one of Lima’s most elegant squares, surrounded by early 20th-century buildings and crowned by the monument to the Liberator José de San Martín.
  • Plaza de Armas / Plaza Mayor (30 minutes). Stand in the square where Lima was founded, framed by the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace with its famous wooden balconies, and the Government Palace.
  • Jirón de la Unión (30 minutes). Stroll along the city’s historic pedestrian street, linking the two main squares and lined with shops and republican-era façades.
  • San Pedro Church (30 minutes). Discover one of Lima’s finest colonial churches, built by the Jesuits and renowned for its gilded altarpieces and rich interior.
  • Church of La Merced (30 minutes). Visit this beloved church, known for its striking carved stone façade and its deep roots in Lima’s religious traditions.
  • Lunch and shopping in the Historic Center (2 hours 30 minutes). Enjoy free time to taste Peruvian cuisine and browse for local crafts and souvenirs.
  • Private transfer to the JW Marriott Hotel. Relax on the drive to Miraflores, where your tour ends.

– We will reimburse 100% percent of the deposit if a notification of cancellation is received until 6 days before the arrival.

– No reimbursement will be made if the notification of cancellation is received 5 days before the arrival.
